Table of Contents

The flow wrapping machine is an automatic packaging equipment that can automatically complete tasks such as feeding, film supply, bag forming, vertical sealing, horizontal sealing and cutting, and finished product discharge.

Flow wrap machines can package a wide range of items, such as bread, biscuits, instant noodles, popsicles, vegetables, hardware, etc. Horizontal packaging machines are suitable for many fields because of their advantages, such as intelligent automation and high production efficiency. Therefore, research on pillow packaging machines has become increasingly common worldwide.

Today, we will learn about the feeding methods of flow packaging machines.

1. Push-block automatic feeding:

It adopts a push-block automatic conveying system, using a chain-type direct conveying method, with the push blocks mounted on the chain. The intervals between each push block are the same, and the products are automatically pushed through the push blocks. Control the speed of automatic feeding by adjusting the speed of the chain.

This automatic feeding method is generally suitable for packaging materials with a regular appearance or heavy weight. This feeding method is stable and accurate. Generally, flow wrappers with film roll on the top use this push-block type automatic feeding. This feeding method is also suitable for the packaging machine with a film roll at the bottom (generally lighter materials, regular).

Advantages of this feeding method: The feeding method is stable, accurate, and suitable for rapid production.

Disadvantages: There will be a gap in the middle of push-block automatic feeding. Thin materials may fall into the gap, causing material jams.

2. Belt type automatic feeding:

It adopts a belt-type automatic conveying system, where the belt carries the material. This conveying method usually includes a “photoelectric sensor” to detect the material. Generally, servo motors and mechanical systems will control the feeding conveyor. Even if the products are placed at different distances manually, the packaging machine can finish the packaging automatically. With servo control, it has an automatic anti-empty package function.

Generally, the bottom film flow packaging machine adopts this belt-type automatic feeding.

The advantages of this feeding method: it is flexible, stable, and accurate, and it is suitable for the automatic feeding of materials of various specifications.

Disadvantages: Belt-type automatic feeding is generally suitable for packaging materials that do not require high product cleanliness. Food or materials with high cleanliness requirements are not suitable to feed in this way. In addition, relatively high or heavy materials are not suitable for feeding in this way.

3. Automatic feeding of packaging film:

It adopts automatic packaging film conveying, where the material is placed directly on the packaging film, and the packaging film carries the material during transportation. This conveying method usually includes a “photoelectric sensor” to detect the material. Generally, servo motors will control the feeding. The distance between manually placed materials is different, and the machine can still automatically sense it.

This conveying method is generally suitable for bottom-feeding flow packaging machines with strict food cleanliness requirements.

This method has the following advantages: it is clean and hygienic, the operation is smooth and accurate, and it is suitable for automatically feeding various materials. Ideal for materials with relatively high product viscosity.

Disadvantages: The packaging effect of this packaging film conveyor is generally slower than the above two.

With its high efficiency, precision, intelligence, and flexibility, the pillow packaging machine has become indispensable equipment for modern production lines. Whether it is food, medicine, daily chemicals, or other industries, flow packaging machines can provide enterprises with reliable and efficient packaging solutions to achieve the successful launch and sale of high-quality products.
